What is with Monette and all the non-consensual male gay sex?? I thought [b:A Companion to Wolves|333356|A Companion to Wolves (Iskryne World, #1)|Sarah Monette|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1312035520s/333356.jpg|2703562] might be an isolated case, but it popped up within the first couple of chapters of this book too, and it just overshadowed what might otherwise have been an enjoyable book. I thoroughly enjoyed [b:The Goblin Emperor|17910048|The Goblin Emperor|Katherine Addison|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1373039517s/17910048.jpg|24241248], but am starting to think that I prefer Addison to Monette.
