The Son & His Hope
by Pepper Winters
The Son and His Hope is book 3 of the Ribbon Duet by Pepper Winters. This can be a bit confusing to those not familiar with her backlist because a duet means two, and you would expect two books with that verbiage. However, it is absolutely made up of 3 books. The Son and His Hope was released a year after A Girl and Her Ren, and in my opinion, you cannot plan to read The Ribbon Duet without reading The Son and His Hope. You will miss so much. The character stories from The Boy and His Ribbon and The Girl and Her Ren are far from over, and The Son and His Hope wraps the entire story up in the best way.
Just when I didn’t think I had any more tears to cry, Pepper again achieved the impossible in The Son and His Hope. And while this harrowing story took me to new depths of sadness, it also could occasionally feel like a warm hug from a friend.
I’m convinced that Pepper transcended to another dimension writing this story. That epilogue was one of the most beautiful things I’ve read in my life.
