The previous book in this series got the benefit of nostalgia that really boosted it’s rating in my mind. This one was just straight up garbage. It was just so irritating to slog through, because some how nothing happens and it is just so slow. Like Patch and Nora break up at the very beginning of the book and Nora never shuts the fuck up about it. It’s like the worst kind of high school romance drama, because it is so petty and unimportant. And again, Nora’s horrible reasoning for being a disaster is thrown into your face at least once a page. Also Vee has got to be one of the worst friends that has ever existed. She never respects anyone’s decisions and is just dumb as fuck. The only reason she is Nora’s best friend is because for some reason Nora has never had any other friends. Which also makes no sense because Nora is the most bland ass normal high school girl that has ever existed. Like the author neglected to give her any interesting characteristics at all that may have made her more of an outcast. She does nothing but get in the way, make dumb stupid decisions that can’t even be chocked up to inexperience or anything. Like just straight up stupid. She drives a car into a ditch?? Why?? The entire book is just bad teenage angst and the plot doesn’t even really resolve itself. Also why is Scott introduced? I mean I guess there has to be a love triangle, but THERE ISN’T EVEN A LOVE TRIANGLE.
