The Perfumist of Paris by Alka Joshi

4.0

A great turn around from the last book.

This final book in the trilogy goes back to what I loved about the first one - walking through the life, ups and downs of a person. There were a few moments of recall or clarification from previous books but not nearly as heavy as the last one so it was much more present in the current plot.

This book really made the last one feel like the storyline was forced. Hearing Radha's story felt like such a natural continuation of The Henna Artist that it makes me wish these were the only 2 books.

Since it is set in Paris for the most part, having some knowledge of French was helpful, especially given I was listening to the audiobook so it was harder to look up any words I didn't know.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Alka Joshi brings the trilogy to a satisfying conclusion.
