I think my favorite genre of book is "elderly friends solve murders." The second book in this series delighted me even more than the first, perhaps because I was already invested in this feisty group of seniors. I loved learning more of their backstories, as well as seeing how they each continue to grow and change. These stories are indeed about solving a murder (or several), but they're also about grief and friendship, found families, and continuing to embrace life despite tragic circumstances. I just love, love, love them.
