I admit that I absolutely adore every single thing that E. Davies writes. The F-Word series is fabulous at bringing transgender and non-binary characters to the forefront, and the stories are so lovely. There is not a huge amount of angst with the MC's being apart, but they definitely have some challenges to work through and overcome.
Jake is a transgender man who has not yet had a hysterectomy, and he decides that he wants to have a child before he completes his transition. He meets Tristan and there is attraction between them. Tristan is a closeted actor, so it starts out just being a fling and friends with benefits, but Jake getting pregnant keeps them connected and growing closer every day. Their relationship was beautiful, and I loved watching them come together and find love and family.
