The more a person pushes others away, the clearer it becomes he is in need of love the most.
that was the exact moment i stopped. yes, like a true optimist, i believe that everyone is worthy of love. don't get me wrong. but seriously? this guy has killed girls after only knowing them for one night! that's not called "pushing others away," that's called being a serial killer. of course, i'm sure he has a perfectly valid reason for being a freaking serial killer because he's our pure cinnamon roll. but she loved him before she knew about his reason, when he was just a deranged murderer. what the hell?and this bit from cait (paper fury)'s review:
Ah, the monster-boy-king. So, since he kills a girl every night, he's got

to be EVIL, right?!! WELL. I figured there'd be more to that story than meets the eye. I figured there'd be a horrifying truth that made it okay. And I was basically right. So I got on Khalid's side pretty fast...because omg, he's adorable. He's angry and violent BUT ADORABLE.
i usually like cait's reviews, but what the actual fuck? like, maybe if he kills a girl every night, he's just a straight up psychopath? is this what we want to be teaching our daughters: that if he seems angry and violent and abusive, it's okay because he's secretly got a heart of gold? apparently it is.
