Mythic, Volume 1 by Phil Hester

3.0

Strong and unusual premise and fairly striking artwork should add up to a thoroughly satisfying collection but this falls a bit short. Why? Perhaps there are too many characters will ill-defined motivations and a plot that for sure only makes sense if you squint at it (the villains in the piece are murky - Ragnarok for what?). I'd revisit if this was supernatural capers- It's like the X-Files, sometimes the stand alones are way better than the continuing story arc.

I received an ecopy from the publishers and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
