Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes

5.0

It's rare to really connect with a book, with a character. It's rare to really feel for them, to be in their head, to truly hear their voice. It's rare to be truly touched by a story. Flowers for Algernon did all this to me.

I am still reeling from the emotional punch in the gut I just got from Charlie Gordon's tale. Daniel Keyes wrote an exceptional book here, I think it should be mandatory reading. I know it's a classic, but I didn't read it when I was young, how I wish I had...

I won't get into the specifics, just read this book if you haven't already. If you read it years ago, read it again.
