Her poetic prose is what ultimately hooked me. How could a book be so long yet feel so short? I felt so connected with Astrid yet felt ashamed for knowing her so intimately- as if I was reading her diary secretly in the night. Her journey is parallel to none and is a perfectly somber yet uplifting coming of age story.
