Secretly Yours by Tessa Bailey
3.0
First big thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for my fair and honest review.
Normally I absolutely love Tessa Bailey’s books. Did I enjoy this book? Yeah. It has some great parts, but it wasn’t really my favorite.
This book is a story of polar opposites attracting. Julian is an orderly everything is planned down to the min professor who is currently on sabbatical from his ivy league job and is back at his family’s winery trying to work on a book. Hallie is all about sunshine and flowers and getting messy, with her life and her gardening.
Sometimes the trope was a bit much and made the conflict seem silly. But Tessa does pull out the hotness between these two and it’s easy to get swept away in it.
Overall, I enjoyed the book, but I don’t know if it’s one I really need to read again which is why I am giving it 3 stars. However, the setup for the next characters in the series has me salivating to read Julian’s sister’s book.
