One of my all time favourite fantasy series, but definitely not for everyone. Erikson crafts a work so rich in detail and history that it can feel overwhelming. Best to go with the flow, not understand everything, and slowly piece together the world over the course of the series. The events primarily follow soldiers, rulers, and gods so expect a pretty heavy and dark plot.
