Listen for the Lie
by Amy Tintera
I almost stopped reading this book a few chapters in because the writing style just felt a bit young for the topic. I didn't realize till after that this was the author's adult debut.
I will say that this author does dialogue well, which a lot of people struggle with. I enjoyed the conversations and the podcast format.
The twists aren't super surprising, and tighter editing would have helped. But Lucy was pretty entertaining, and I appreciate the focus on the fact that men have to say it for anyone to believe it, as well as the commentary on "the perfect victim." It was just a little heavy handed.
