As someone who lost their mom in their 20’s this book intrigued me. I would typically not have read this if not for how much I related to the author and her situation.

I think this book is great for people who have lost a parent and are looking for someone to put words to all the big emotions (good and bad). Did I cry (yes multiple times), but it was a needed cry one to acknowledge and hold space for myself and my memories.

Kate Spencer delivered an honest insight into navigating life motherless with a balance of practically (on how way to be supportive) and humor. It’s not a good club to be in, but it has some great people ready with cards, ice cream and advice (only for when you’re ready).
