I’m not going to review this thoroughly, as I’ve realised this is issue #1 in the series, NOT voume #1 as Goodreads says, and I don’t really like reviewing individual issues as there isn’t enough content for me to be able to do a full review (and judge things like character and plot arcs). What I will say is that there is so much potential here. We have a queer coven trying to track down a homophobic serial killer for starters (one of them is a drag queen who can magic snakes!). Four of the five members of the coven have already been set up for compelling sub-plots, too. The art style is great; I was worried it would be difficult to read, but this was not the case at all. I think I’m going to wait until the actual first volume is released before continuing with the series, but it’ll be a tough wait!
