Gravity by Tess Gerritsen

4.0

Gravity be Tess Gerritsen is a science fiction thriller about space exploration and experimentation. It's very unlike the romance or murder mystery novels I've read from Gerritsen in the past. It's well researched and not at all what I expected. Although, I usually don't consider books scary, this book definitely did creep me out to an extent with its brilliant speculative writing.

Emma is a NASA astronaut and physician who immediately after being sent into space is tasked with uncovering a mysterious illness that's infected another astronaut. There seems to have been contamination from one of the research projects, but before a rescue operation is launched, the astronaut dies. The situation on the space station becomes dire as more people are infected and the military takes control away from NASA. What is causing this mysterious illness and can anyone be saved?
