The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd

2.0

??? There’s no way anyone genuinely thinks this is a well written book. The prose is bland, the story telling is sub-par, the dialogue is something a thirteen year old writes in their first attempt at fanfiction. The suspense is poorly executed, the characters are boring, and there’s no emotional depth. Great for anyone with 0 brain cells and no critical thinking skills.

Coming back to say it doesn't get 1 star because it's not bottom of the barrel, but it'll never be a book I recommend to anyone. Authors need to write better books, and after the books I've read this year, I think I need to put "read better books" on a hat.
