Unlike the last two books in the series, this one actually had a decent plot, which honestly doesn’t even matter at this point since I’m reading this for the characters. I feel like I should have read the series about Opal before I started reading this one, but it’s all good I’ll just go back and read it later. I was really glad that there were different POVs in this book, it was kind of nice to see other perspectives that weren’t Yelena. I especially liked learning about Valek’s childhood or rather his assassin training. I’m curious to see what’s going on with the commander and whether or not he ends up being a “bad guy”.
