I just don’t like SJM I think is what the problem for me is. I like her first books, and I like the way they seem to be going, but I hate her sequels. I hate how she can’t just stick with one love interest and let it be, and I hate she tries to make her love interests the bad guys.
In this book Feyre is dealing with PTSD, but then makes Tamlin out to be the bad guy when he goes through PTSD too. Yeah he needs help, but it’s almost like SJM thinks that because Tamlin did some shitty things, he’s ultimately the bad guy. And let me tell you, Feyre isn’t a saint either
And Feyre. Jesus fucking Feyre is the most annoying character, always being so self deprecating, and complaining about every little thing. SHUT THE FUCK UP JESUS. I could care less. And fucking Rhysand. Just because bad things happen to Rhysand he’s the good guy now, which means that because someone tried to force themselves on him, it’s ok that he was an asshole. That’s so hypocritical, basically going against Tamlin as a character.
I don’t sympathize with Rhysand or Tamlin, but just because Rhysand had some shit happen to him, doesn’t erase his past shit. And just because Tamlin did some shitty things, doesn’t mean he’s a terrible person.
Jesus SJM doesn’t know how to write mental illness and it SHOWS

Maas|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1546406962l/16096824._SY75_.jpg|21905102] more than a year ago, and I just feel like I outgrew this series, and her books as a whole. I think a year or two ago I would have binged her books, but I just can’t get behind her as an author anymore. Sorry y’all
