Kingdom of the Cursed
by Kerri Maniscalco
In the second book in this series Emilia has entered the realm of Hell, on a mission to discover who murdered her twin. The seven princes don’t make it easy… Emilia has to play their game, rolling with the manipulations, while resisting the influence of their namesake sins.
The tension filled chemistry between her and Wrath dials up a notch, and I love their slow burn (though I’m admittedly ready for them to fully combust at any point now). I also thoroughly enjoyed the world building in this realm… Hell is not what I would have expected.
Mystery and deception are the common themes in this book… everyone has so many secrets, and Emilia learns she may have some of her own that she wasn’t even aware of. The ending is a bit of a shocker (for us and Emilia) and I’m glad that I already picked up the third book so I don’t have to waste any time jumping into it.
