There’s still so much I need to process about how this one ended. WOW! I had a theory as it neared the end and there’s still so many questions I have before I can say my theory is founded. What a ride! I did feel that a select few of the conversations concerning war strategy and history got lost on me and I found myself rereading sections unlike in the first when it all clicked very easily for me. And perhaps that was the whole point, so as to elaborate and build further in the next book. I couldn’t put this book down once everything started to pick up. Yarros leaves you in so much suspense in those last few pages. So glad I have Onyx Storm in hand because this one left me with my jaw on the floor!
