A Wedding in December
by Sarah Morgan
* 2024 update. I must be more careful when reading purchasing favorite author books. I read this and everything felt familiar. Because it was - I read it 5 years ago. Still enjoyed it again.
If you like Sarah Morgan and holiday romances, which I do, you’ll enjoy this book. As with many of Morgan’s books, the setting is as much a character in the book as the people, and oh, I want to go spend one Christmas in Colorado and one in England.
Morgan’s been moving more toward what some call “women’s fiction” (hate that term) in which the non-romantic relationships between women are as important to the story as the romantic relationships. In this story the romantic, family, and friendship relationships are many and interwoven. Mother – Daughter, sister-sister, new mother-in-law/mother. Deftly plotted and interwoven.
Really enjoyed it and it’s going on the annual holiday Christmas reread list. 4/5
