The Rake's Bride by Lynn Winchester
5.0
The perfect amount of sweetness. Many sweet westerns loose their ruggedness or the sense of being a western, but this one doesn't and I loved that! There is a lot of emotions in this one too that will pull at your heart and you will connect with them throughout the story. I loved that they weren't your typical western couple and that they were brought back together. There was a twist with her family that I didn't see coming. I didn't want it to end but loved the ending because everything came out.
Isabeau was ruined by a scandal but wasn't going to fall into a black hole and disappear. I loved that she actually could take care of herself with the upbringing she had and that she wouldn't back down. She spoke her mind at all times and I loved that about her.
Jean-Luc was heartbroken without realizing it. My heart ached for him in the garden and how he changed after that. He was a hardened man after that and I loved how he slowly softened again. He will pull at your heart like crazy.
Don't mess with a group of women that have a plan!
