What a book! Benson absolutely transports the reader back to pre-WWI England. Her characters are diverse and their challenges extraordinary. Lily Albright is an absolutely wonderful heroine, and every other character in the book feels absolutely real. The worldbuilding was also remarkable. Fantastic, something anyone who likes magic and historical novels should read.
