Miss Lockharte's Letters
by Barbara Metzger
Regency romances are one reason behind my elated standards and opinions about love. Miss Lockharte’s letters is all about mischief, machinations & of course a handsome rake who falls in love with an independent chit. Miss Rosellen Lockharte is just like any other corporate servant exploited by the harpy boss Mirabel. I loved the way she expresses emotions of us all by saying, ““Dear Miss Merrihew, I am dying and I never had a paid vacation.” I literally fell off my bed because may be it works the same way for all of us regardless of the time. Plus, Viscount Wynn Alton Stanford is the guy you will always want to date (despite his anti-feminist ideas). I loved each and everything about Metzger’s punny writing; however, the plot at times seemed so abrupt when I was actually craving for further twists. Yet, this rom-com has surely grabbed up a quick space in my favourites.
