I liked this book. It started off strong and shows the love of two lost souls who grew up in horrible circumstances but rely on each other to get through the dark times. They meet as children and grow up together. An unforeseen circumstance forces them apart for years. Bella doesn’t understand what happened to her best friend and Roman can’t fathom why Bella won’t respond to any of his letters.
This book highlights the trauma of kids who grow up in foster care and the dark situations they go through. How two broken children just want to be loved and accepted. They find that within each other. Roman will do whatever he needs to to protect Bella. He will not allow anyone to hurt her.
