This was an easy read. I felt there were aspects that could have been explored a lot more, the competition felt under utilized, which was disappointing. I love a good competition like this in books. A lot of the death felt brushed aside and unimportant and I didn’t really know the villains goals until the climactic moment. Which is fine, I suppose, but it felt baseline throughout. 
Everything just felt more like a mention. We tried to cram a lot of stuff into only 400 something pages
