The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout

2.0

Incredibly frustrating read. I considered dnf-ing about 5 times.
The trauma and PTSD stuff was handled pretty well. It sounded preachy at times, but at least that part was well-researched.

Cardboard protagonist. My God, I mean, she has speech problems due to PTSD and obviously has some setbacks, sure, but must she also have the personality of a half-chewed gum?

The Spanish expressions peppered in here and there made it so very obvious that someone with very little knowledge of the language and culture wrote them. A lot of "thug" Latinx characters who are mixed up in shady stuff and throw a bebita or mami in every sentence. It's just such a terrible stereotype. Not to mention the bit about a certain expression being described as "Puerto Rican"....are you serious?!
