Are you here for the spicy alpha shifter reverse harem premise? Well, you'll have to be patient, because not much happens in this first book on the romance front. Or the second, for that matter. 

I did surprisingly enjoy the three male alpha shifters, though. They're all three unique, decently fleshed-out characters who don't just feel like stand-ins for generic character archetypes. 

The main female protagonist, also an alpha shifter, is also a lot of fun - slightly unhinged, wildly stubborn, makes questionable decisions, fights like hell, and remains consistently entertaining.

Mostly exposition and setup in this one. Will see what happens in later books.
