So We Can Glow: Stories by Leesa Cross-Smith
5.0
I want sure how I would like so many stories packed into a handful of pages. However these stories were wonderful.
I was brought into so many lives and hooked within the first few paragraphs. This book makes me feel like I got some deal - "10 stories for the price of 1" sort of feeling. As soon as one finished, I was catapulted right into the next one. It really shows the writing capabilities of the author to be able to convey so much in a few pages.
Overall I felt cozy reading these stories- even the ones that were filled with tension, sadness, or grief. It felt comforting to read these stories of women that contained feelings that we have all felt.
I havent been one to read short stories in a book like this. If this is what most short story collections are like, I'm excited to read more.
