The Only One Left
by Riley Sager
A fun twisty thriller set in an isolated mansion that’s crumbling into the sea.
Leonora Hope is so infamous she has a playground rhyme all of her own: At 17 Lenora Hope killed her sister with a rope…
Told through dual POV over a then/now timeline, we follow Kit who takes up a job caring for the elderly Lenora Hope. It’s not long until she turns mature detective to uncover the truth behind Lenora’s bloody past.
There are some great plot twists that I didn’t see coming, and the setting was great. Not too many’s characters to confuse the plot, but no one was particularly likeable.
