Deal with the Devil by Meghan March
5.0
Jericho Forge is a man who commands attention from those around him – us included. I find it interesting that he starts us off on this latest book from Meghan March. He wants us to know who is in charge of our latest adventure. India Baptiste is the one who will give us a woman’s impression of this alpha male. Or is he a knight in shining armor?
If you love to listen to your books than this will be a great addition to your library. You can never go wrong when you have narrators such as Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. They will have your imaginations kicking into gear right from the very beginning. The other thing that gets your imagination going is the scenes that our author has created. But they are the ones that give the words life.
As I’m listening, I had the urge to travel. Would I be able to find the world that exists in this book? The only thing I might have an issue with is seasickness. But the good thing is that you can’t get seasick when listening to a book. Although, you could listen to this book while soaking in a tub. I’ve always loved the clawfooted tubs but I think this book calls for one of the new modern ones. Just be careful because if you get lost in the story, like I did, you may end up coming out like a prune.
I knew going in that this was the first book of a trilogy. Once I got started listening I totally forgot that fact. I’m happily going along wondering if Jericho is the angel or the devil of the piece and then our author has my mind going in a totally different direction. The ending had me saying “what just happened” and “when can I get my hands on book two”. Ms. March never disappoints.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
