This story has an unloveable bastard, and a caring character that manages to keep the bastard in check with wits, sarcasm, and his no-bullshit attitude. Gabe is the kind of character that you can't really decide if you hate or like, and he really didn't treat Dylan well, so for a while I hoped that Dylan would end up with someone else, but Gabe turned himself around to deserve Dylan. Though Gabe was a bastard, I could still see his appeal which made it more believable that Dylan would compromise on his feelings and beliefs for him. The steam level is high, and sex scenes frequent, but the variety was high so it didn't bore me. It pushed all my buttons, and all of Dylan's emotions were so well written that I really felt them myself - it left me in tears a handful of times. This is a definite re-read book for me.
