Definitely worth taking the time to listen to this one because Tim Curry is absolutely amazing!
I've had this one on my TBR for a while but I never felt in the mood but once I saw that Curry narrated the audio, I needed to give it a listen and I wasn't disappointed.
The whole book just takes me back to the way fantasy books used to be written with heavy world building and so much detailing that I found myself rewinding to hear it again.
Plus I loved Sabriel's portrayal in the book. She's young and unsure at the beginning but the book progresses and she comes to really learn more about herself, her skill set and the magic and she's golden. She's got a good head on her shoulders , strong, and smart and it's been a while since I've read a character like her. Most of the other characters are also interesting but Mogget was a sheer delight.
Tim Curry really made this fun for me. His acting came into give each character their own tone and we hen the story went dark and scary at times, so did his tone and ooooh that just made my day/ night.
I plan to borrow the next one as he narrates that too and I really need to know after that cliffhanger what is going to happen.
