I need to preface this with I am trans. I cannot wrap my mind around the idea that this book follows TEENS. there is no fucking way that within two years of coming out, Charlie was able to go on hormones, get his name changed AND top surgery (not even regarding his mothers salary). what doctor would let a 15 y/o get top surgery.

there were no consequences for anything, jasper was SO unlikable and Charlie was just such a shitty friend and person that it was an awful read. I know dysphoria is different for everyone but oh my god how many people really think about hand/shoe sizes???

AND WHY COULDNT CHARLIE SAY THE PHRASES "BEFORE I CAME OUT" OR "I CHANGED MY NAME" OR EVEN "IM TRANS" UNTIL THE LAST CHAPTERS. im done with this "before I found out I was a boy" shit. good god this is not how trans people should be represented.

I CANT FATHOM THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SIXTEEN.
