He's not your friend
I didn't really care for this book. Penny's relationship with Bear (the dog) had more of an emotional connection than it did with Marcus. After all she went through with with her nasty ex
literally stalking her,
how did she not see the red flags with Brian? The second he showed up my skin got itchy. Immediately knew he was a creep (honestly hoping he was gay cause that would mitigate some of the red flags).
Marcus finds out he's been stealing from her (he looks at her ledgers) and she rightfully cuts Brian out but she pushes Marcus away to for invading her privacy, which is ridiculous to me. Brian proposing to her was so out of character and weird.
Penny lives inside her head and overthinks everything. I get it but damn girl. Not a favourite from this author.
