The Clockmaker's Daughter
by Kate Morton
Elodie is an archivist who yearns for knowledge. But when she discovers the sketchbook of the famed late artist, Edward Radcliffe, and a photo of a woman who is oddly familiar, Elodie begins her investigation. The story travels back in time and takes on multiple points of view to unravel the mysteries at Birchwood Manor.
The plot was really average and borderline bad. The story seemed to move too slowly and, at times, had too many layers for me. However, Kate Morton’s writing is unparalleled. Her words flow effortlessly and eloquently. As this was my first Kate Morton novel, I would like to read more from her.
