Alexandria by Paul Kingsnorth

4.0

Compelling, but this third in the 'trilogy' (in the loosest sense) is marred by a more obvious polemic than the first two books. As with the pseudo-Anglo-Saxon of the excellent [b:The Wake|21023409|The Wake|Paul Kingsnorth|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1394363896l/21023409._SY75_.jpg|27232308], Alexandria uses its own distinctive future dialect to good effect. More 3.5 than 4, but I've just had my Covid jab so am feeling generous.
