I loved how Adichie wove together the stories of the different women. Something that stood out to me was their self-perception versus how they perceived each other. It was a beautiful balance between demonstrating how we perceive each other’s flaws and interpret other’s actions compared with how we view ourselves. The book humanized each woman’s experiences, drawing empathy from the reader, while also showing how each woman needed to grow.
