This book had so many things that I love...a dark tortured hero, who secretly has a heart of gold, a horny heroine who is in need of having her dark fantasies fulfilled but ALSO in need of some healing affection, some great primal play scenes, praise kink, and the list goes on...
Additionally, West does an amazing job fleshing out the side characters, especially MMC's siblings and son. There was some truly heartwarming moments as well.
The only reason this didn't get 5 stars from me was I felt like it was missing a little something when it came to the plot development and the development of the MMC/FMC's relationship. It felt like they jumped a few steps from strangers with baggage to being completely in love. But overall I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes dark romance and I'm looking forward to reading more by Jade West!
