The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie
2.5

This was the very definition of 'meh'. Just ok. I really liked Tommy and Tuppence, but then they don't spend much time together due to circumstances, so that was a bummer.
I wasn't impressed with the 'villains' either. We're told that because of their behind-the-scenes actions the very country is on the brink of collapse and this document will tip things over into anarchy and revolution, bla bla. But as the plot progresses all the players seem to be bungling, amateurish idiots. From letting people walk into their base of operation just because they happen to know the password, to letting prisoners escape. And it's never revealed what in this document could possibly be so compromising, yet the whole plot revolves around finding it, bit lame.
