A solid cozy mystery that I picked up because I am waiting on my other cozy mystery from CJ Archer to come through on Libby. Or for my next book unlock on Everand. So, for an interim, off-the-cuff pick, I was pleasantly surprised.
I did expect Nora's story to be a bit more shocking, given how long we wait for that reveal. And I wish the town were a little more visually and atmospherically fleshed out so that you actually get a feeling for it rather than just bookstore, bakery, salon, bar, hotel, caboose, nearby woods. Which is all I've got.
Could use more vibes, but the premise of bibliotherapy and comfort scones was a fun one.
Certainly not adverse to continuing with the series.
