The more Nick and Charlie we get, the more I fall in love with them. They both are struggling with so much, and having each other helps, but in this volume, we see them both realize that clinging to each other isn't the best solution. They're both doing tough things that challenge them and seeking support from each other but also their friends and family. I enjoyed the little Tori and Michael subplot in this book, too, and it was especially delightful having read Solitaire and having the extra insight into exactly what was going on with them. These books really don't skip out on the emotional work, but they still give you that happy glow every time. I always find myself smiling and giggling while reading, and this one followed suit.
