Unbreakable by Rebecca Shea

“Every broken person’s worst fear—that no one will be able to love us in spite of our scars.”
This was an emotional and heart wrenching story. I loved the first half of the book. Reading about Jess, Ava, and Gabe's childhood, how they were like siblings, and how Gabe and Jess became a couple. The book follows their budding relationship, and then BAM. A tragedy happens, and Jess breaks things off, thus ripping my heart out. Jess leaves for North Carolina for an internship. She meets Landon, who is a police officer. I didn't particularly like Landon. I thought he was an egotistical ass. The only redeeming thing about him, was how he pointed out to Jess that she was still in love with Gabe. I am happy this book got the ending, I was rooting for.
