The Sweetest Oblivion by Danielle Lori

dark tense medium-paced

2.5

I've thought about the best word to describe this book for a long time and I only came up with this:

It was a decent read.

I don't know if this was because of my reading slump or maybe the miscommunication/lack of communication trope but I didn't enjoyed it that much and I feel like the hype that this book has actually betrayed me. πŸ˜‚

I didn't experience the craze that everyone seems to experience after reading this book nor the "chokehold" they said I'll be in. There's no mindblowing chapter or part for me. It was okay, it was decent.

In fact , Nico and Elena's story will end sooner rather than later if they only talked to each other, something that will make me dnf this as soon as I realize it but I guess I only walked through 52 chapters of their story because someone already warned me way before I started reading this so I'm already prepared.

However, I like the built up sexual tension between the characters on the early parts of the book but it is not something that will make want to read this again .
