this was much more enjoyable than the first in the high republic series. i feel as though the writing was simpler, which makes complete sense when i found out this one is a young adult book and the previous was an adult book. however, the story of this one required the previous book’s knowledge. i am happy with where this story line is going and can’t wait to continue.
