I know ya books are supposed to have juvenile characters and whatnot but Emma is SOOO unlikeable. She’s incapable of minding her business, she doesn’t understand a shred of nuance or anybody else’s perspective ever, and literally everything is about her all the time. All of which is fine in a ya book if there’s any resolution or realization about it, but the end barely even mentions it and it’s infuriating.
