Fall of Ruin and Wrath
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
It's no surprise that I rate this book 5 stars. It's Jennifer L. Armentrout.
Her writing style is just the best. I always love her mix between thoughts & explaining the surroundings.
Calista is such a cool new character. I am so excited where this series is going - it has so much potential!
I didn't like the Baron at the beginning but once I saw more of him
Calista's intuition was something I really enjoyed. I always love Jens books because the fmc is rarely stupid. She is badass and smart. I am a sucker for that.
Thorne. Well. What can I say about him that wouldn't be an understatement? Everything about the hyhborn in general was so interesting. The whole "feeding on her pleasure" thing,I loved the banter between Thorne and Calista. #whohurtyou & #touchherandyoulldie are two tropes I always find delight in.
Also: I can always trust in JLA to add queer / bisexual characters in her stories, but this time they were placed to effortlessly and I enjoyed that a lot.

and the fact that he wanted to fight I felt like he wanted to redeem himself I liked him better. I have a feeling he might be more important to the story and show up somehow again..Calista's intuition was something I really enjoyed. I always love Jens books because the fmc is rarely stupid. their cum being an aphrodisiac and all the things about how a lowborn could potentially use their different body parts was so cool to find out. Also: I can always trust in JLA to add queer / bisexual characters in her stories, but this time they were placed to effortlessly and I enjoyed that a lot.
