Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

mm okay. so this book. it was... interesting.
the prose? exquisite. the depiction of the struggles mental health? incredible. midori? so f-ing entertaining.
there are so many valuable things in this book, but in certain ways it fell a little short for me. the story moves at a slow pace and there’s not a lot of action imo - i found taru to be really bland and i had a pretty good sense of what the ending was going to be from the beginning which i didn’t love
but. theres so much to take from this book. and the writing is really superb. and reiko & midori both deserve the entire world
