The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

4.0

It was weird going from reading [b:The Catcher in the Rye|5107|The Catcher in the Rye|J.D. Salinger|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1398034300s/5107.jpg|3036731] to this, and even more so because they mention that book in this book. The format of this book was of the boy writing letters to a unknown person that never responded. It was an interesting way to lay out a novel but I think it helped add the personality of the letter writer. This book had a whirlwind of emotions tied to it, so I felt on the roller coaster with him as he went through his freshman year of high school, the ending was fitting for the novel but not as climactic as I would have hoped.
